People keep comparing stats and drops to justify one or the other. The point is, Etling has never played a down and looked more composed, made some checks, and climbed the pocket which Brandon doesn't seem to do well. That in of itself is very promising and stats aside, Etling was the better quarterback last night.

Okay.

Let's maybe see him versus a divisional opponent before anointing him?

Harris lit up New Mexico St, and Jennings was insanely horrid in the same fashion if not worse. He had like 2-3 turnovers within minutes of that game.. Harris came in and dominated them..

Agreed. Etling's receivers didn't do him any favors while it alway seems like Harris doesn't do open receivers any favors.

Anyone with eyes should have been able to come to this conclusion. Apparently the denial is strong in some.

I think it has sheds some light on just how bad Jennings and Harris have been. I'm not bashing, it is just reality.

Etling was thrown into a tense situation in a packed stadium not having played a down in 2 years against a team whose only regular season losses the past 2 seasons were against Michigan State and Auburn. Do you really think he won't be able to keep his composure against the team that lost at home to South Alabama last week?
