I haven't seen a practice or scrimmage, and have no inside information.
1. Kling (CF)
2. Pearson (2B)

4. Neal (DH)
5. Travinski (C)
6. Bingham (LF)
7. Jones (1B)
8. Brown (RF)
9. Braswell (SS)
1. Kling (CF)

3. White (3B)
4. Neal (DH)
5. Travinski (C)
6. Bingham (LF)
7. Jones (1B)
8. Brown (RF)
9. Braswell (SS)

Braswell is not hitting in nine hole
Catcher and dh will be a matchup thing and I don’t see a ton of scenarios without travinski bat in the lineup

Way too early, but I still enjoy it.
I think Braswell finds himself in the top 3 of the order, maybe in front of White. Travinski will prob protect White.
Kling
Braswell
White
Travinski
Jones
Pearson
Bingham
Neal
Brown
I think Bingham ends up higher in the order by the mid point of the season, if not out the gate. I see a world in which Jay keeps Kling down in the order to stack the top with experience.
ETA: Jay sometimes goes funky with the lineup so a 1-2 of Braswell and White is plausible.

Those are probably our best 9, with Frey, Larson, and Mitchell as the next up IMO at this point. I’m really hoping Neal can catch again.
We have a really strong pitching staff. Our lineup will almost completely be decided by offense. I think we’ll be fine defensively and have plenty of speed. We just need guys that will produce offensively.

I ordered it the way I did in part trying to stick to Jay's right-left preference. I think he'd prefer not to have the first five hitters be right-handed.

I’m just glad we are discussing this.

Good point.
ETA: I just don't think he'll force it. If he had all LHH hitters, he'd be more inclined to force RHH up top. I don't think he'll force any LHH up top but we'll see. I think this lineup will be about protecting Tanks, getting experienced guys up top, and working LH/RH mix down at the bottom with rotations.

We’re talking about the guy who put Beloso in the lead off spot in the college World Series. I’m not even gonna try to guess what that man is going to do.

Project, what’s the latest with Jaden Noot?
Posted on 1/27/24 at 6:23 pm to Zachary
1. Kling CF
2. Bingham LF
3. White 3B
4. Travinski C
5. Pearson 2B
6. Neal DH
7. Jones 1B
8. Braswell SS
9. Brown RF
I believe Bingham hit .360 last season. He’ll be in the top 5 of the lineup.

Not Project but late March early April should be his time frame.

So, you're saying we might see Tanks lead off. "They have to pitch to him once per game."
I know you're not saying that and I also doubt it, but he's truly unpredictable. I think he prides himself on being that way. When you think he's going to bob, he weaves. When you think he's setting a certain thing up, he's using that to set something else up.

1. Bingham (R) CF
2. White (R) 3B
3. Neal (L) DH for now
4. Jones (R)1B
5. Pearson (L) 2B
6. Travinski (R) C for now
7. Kling (R) RF
8. Braswell (R) SS
9. Brown (L) LF
I’m banking on Neal being an elite lefty at the plate. Early last year, he was blowing up terra cotta tiles in RF like he owned stock in Cribbs Incorporated. He’s going to straighten those out.
This lineup has plenty of pull-hitting power from the right side though.

I’m not saying he’ll do it but I would certainly bet that he has thought of a situation that he would do it in.

Wasn’t Braswell around a .270 hitter at SC?

I don't know but I believe that he was the most consistent hitter from fall practice.
