Stanfords Black Unis

If LSU ever did go with a black uniform, the ones that Stanford are wearing tonight would be what I would hope LSU would go with. Dark purple stripe on top of the helmet and on the trim..would look sweet but still keeping that traditional look...

Purple with black? That's just too dark and wouldn't stand out.
Gold and black would probably look like those terrible Mizzou unis though...

I was thinking about this the other day. Black matte helmets with LSU in the Geaux font on it and the traditional uni except in all black and purple would look sweet.

But most importantly did you see the stadium is half empty. They are playing for the PAC 12 Championship & they can't fill their own stadium

I hated those black unis. The dumb bland looking matte helmets and the black jerseys.
We have the best unis in all of college football. Do not change them.

Black uniforms are dumb if black is not a secondary color for you already. Stanford breaking out black looked unnatural and contrived. Like "Hey, everybody. Look how badass we are because we wear black once a year."
If you have to spend energy sending a message about how edgy and tough your team is via switching to black, you are neither edgy nor tough. You are stupid-looking. Black uniforms are not cutting edge.
Georgia looks good with black jerseys because black is a secondary color. Even Tennessee looked cool with black jerseys because the game they played on Halloween was thematic. These are smart uses of the color black.
If LSU broke them out for no reason, it wouldn't make any sense. It would just make us look desperate to appear badass.
You know what's badass? Being LSU and rocking purple and gold like no one else can. No other team has enough swagger to pull that off.

what's wrong with being proud of your school colors? I enjoy teams that are proud of their school tradition.
wearing crappy looking unis is not a great part of tradition.
the quality teams with winning tradiitions don't do this crap. it's the teams saying look at me.
it's the stanford cardinal, not the standford negro. It's texas tech red raiders, not black raiders.
