Spring Game (QB's)

During the Spring Game, if JJ starts on one side and Mett starts on the other. Lets say JJ comes out and plays his normal game going 4 for 12 with no TD's and 1 int. Mett comes out and shows he makes good reads and goes 12 for 16 with 2 TD's and 0 int. Will this solidfy Mett as the leader going into next season? Or, does Miles still give JJ the benefit because of seniority....

depends on the other practices that we dont get to see. if thats the norm in the other practices, then we will probably see mett start.

I think Mett wins out the posistion but that depends on alot of things like JJ, Zacks chemistry with the team, etc

Wasn't it Ford who ran wild at last year's Spring game & how much playing time did that get him? I think we all just need to sit back & let the coaches make the best decisions....remember it is them who see the kids everyday & base their decisions on the things that we never see. Having said that.....jj must be one hell of a practice player over the last 2 years.

I'm sure LSU will work on the running game during the spring
As far as Jefferson vs Mett - it will be decided in the Big Cat drill

Yeah, Ford was kinda the reason I was asking because of his game last year. A lot on hear was wanting him to start, but Ridley had a very ggod year. Maybe the new OC can work with JJ and make some improvements.

spring practice is important for sure but stats from the spring game are about as relevant as a mayonnaise jar full of pubes.

It's just a money making scrimmage. It isn't any more important than any other spring practice. Get that crapola out of your heads. It's not a GAME. It's a fu cking controlled scrimmage.

Jarrett Lee goes 3 for 5 with 1 TD pass for 45 yards and no INTs during two long drives which result in 2 TDs.
Does he become the backup?
well, no, because they still have the entire summer.

While I agree. A whole lot of posters here have placed ALOT of value on a GA spring game a year ago
