Right. In football of course, you can do the same and destroy the guy before he punts. What I was trying to say was that there should be more leeway for the guy attempting the block because all of a sudden the punter's running motion turns into a kicking one. It's very obvious when a normal/straightaway punter is about to kick the ball. Half the time these rugby style guys run several yards diagonally before they kick the ball. IMO, you should have more leeway to blast the guy because it is not obvious whether they will punt or keep the ball and run, JMHO. I don't know what the actual rule is for those guys.

Basically need two returners (one deep and one short) these days to account for shorter rugby style punts that hit short and roll for another 15-20 yards.

ANYTHING would be an improvement over what we have been doing the last two years. And go after the freaking punt which helps set up a return.
