If I’m not mistaken for every championship game both teams are on the floor every year. It’s just that during season and leading up to the championship that they’re not.

Unlike most other games they actually televise nation anthem in championship games. Hence, both teams will be out there.

Because Iowa was on the court. If UConn or USC was on the court and the other team wasn’t, same thing would happen. Both teams were in the locker room so nobody said anything.
