Soooo... who's next up? Coach O?

I really hope Miles has the stones to reach out to Coach O. I know there are rumblings the Haley was all butt hurt that he wasn't considered for the job right out of the gate, but what Miles needs to an established DC that can recruit like hell. We all remember what happened the last time Miles tried to promote from within the current staff. I don't think it had as much to do with the co-DC system as much as not having a proven defensive mind. Please let LM do the smart thing here.

It's done IMO.Brick will be the DC.The only question is who will assume DL duties. Wouldn't be surprised if both are promoted from within

I have asked and can't seem to understand the love for Orgeron.

I doubt it is bc no one wanted him. Could he just not want the jobs that were available to him last year? It's not that uncommon.

Brick will be the DC. They are trying to get bebe but it's not looking good right now. My friend says if worse comes to worse, Pevoto will be a position coach as well as STC. Brick will continue to coach DL.

So he is sooooo good at recruiting that no one could find a spot for him before now last year or this year where he wants to go?
I am not knocking him and I do think he would be a positive addition to the staff as a D-line coach and recruiter. I just do not see where he has the experience to be a Defensive Coordinator and why so many has the confidence that he could be a good DC.

Coach O has had opportunities since he left USC but he chose to take some time off. He did a hell of a job as the interim HC at So Cal, so why not give him a shot at DC?

Because he did a decent job of motivating a team that was very down, you give him a chance? I don't agree with that. What happen when he was the HC at Ole Miss? He had a chance and that didn't work out to well for the runts.

I agree with you….Orgeron would probably be a good fit and a good addition, but the Cialis-like constant hard-on everybody has for this guy is borderline creepy. If he doesn't end up on the staff, LSU football will continue to exist, believe it or not.
Several posters have said that we need to hire the guy "so someone else in the SEC doesn't get him first". Really? Take a few deep breaths and sit out a few plays, then come back with some rational talk.

Are you not aware of coach O's ties to louisiana and how he would positively affect recruiting?
