Those were the good days. Racing to Omaha to get on the top of Charlie Parker’s ticket list.

If Zapruder had been at the CWS.

THE GREATEST AT BAT IN COLLEGE BB HISTORY!

I know WM and he is such a humble and God loving person. He has actually mentioned that after watching the replay of his game winning HR, he felt he was "showboating" as he rounded the bases and was holding up the we are number 1.

Thank you I have never seen that footage. I remember the game well, I was living in an apartment on Essen Lane by the railroad tracks and watched the first 7 or so innings with the neighbors. I went home pissed to watch the end and ended up dancing in the parking lot with the neighbors drinking a lot of beer.

Great days!

What ever became of Charlie? He was a hell of a nice guy. Is he still living?

I love that video. Taken by Dr William Gladney, local neurologist. I did some testing with him after a stroke. He lost his father shortly after the CWS, IIRC. But, he loved to talk about it and originally was surprised that I had seen it on YT. Awesome video!

Was on AT with my unit, huddled around a radio in the barracks... glorious victory.

The fact he got to experience it with his dad who later passed away the same year is very special.
