Please explain too me how alabama gets rewarded for losing to an Ole Miss team that is currently now is out of the top 25 at home and was ranked in the top 4 for the first week of playoff rankings? I understand they just had a big statement game against us and beat us pretty bad but it just doesnt make sense to me how we fall so low under teams like iowa and stanford. I just dont understand how they got rewarded for losing to ole miss and if I remember correctly alabama was getting beat pretty bad by ole miss and they made a late score too make it look closer than it actually was.

It's because we are LSU. That sounds childish but we don't get the same treatment. I think if we beat bama they'd still be around 10-11

The committee obviously has no idea what it's doing. I'd rather the bcs

They've played a tough SEC schedule, had a close loss to a good team, and just beat the shite out of the #2 team

They lost early on this season and have been solid since then.

Because they made us look like a Pop Warner team and they've made the voters forget about Ole Miss (though they were getting a little preferential treatment before our game). They proved they belong though.

Bama is a team that looks better each week and just dominated the main obstacle on their schedule. LSU doesn't have a coach with a drive to win that prepares his team to punish opponents no matter who they are. Bama is obviously improving. Be happy with 10 wins because that's all we'll get as LSU fans.

There it is. Be satisfied.

I totally agree that alabama should be #2. I just dont understand how could we fall so low under teams like stanford who had a loss that is extremely worse than our loss. Sorry doesnt make sense.

It took like 5 Bama turnovers and late game heroics for Ole Miss to beat Bama. I get the sentiment but we got handled like tackling dummies. Shows that we are vulnerable to anyone with a good front 7 cause we refuse to pass to open the run.

Yeah, that part I don't know about. Stanford scored 6 points and got beat by 10 points by a team that got beat 38-0 by Michigan and 40-10 by Iowa in consecutive games.

Bama was a football bouncing off a Rebel helmet from winning that game. We were taken to the woodshed by Bama. That's how.

This year CFB is down period. Everyone in the top 10 can be beaten. No one has a totally dominant team.

Late game heroics? Ole Miss was up 20 points with about 12 minutes left in the game.

Committee is factoring the all to subjective "eye test". It has potential for much fault but ultimately many games still have to be played. The playoff picture became more clear this week and will continue to clean itself up as weeks pass. This year there is a clear cut four with teams like Iowa/Baylor on the outside looking in...Iowa being a teams that wouldn't compete given the chance...which is the reason for the eye test vs record.

Stanford can make it interesting by winning the PAC and beating Norte Dame. Baylor can play themselves in as they have Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, and TCU left on the schedule. Other than that, Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame deserve to be there.
