when I have to lump myself in the same category with you retards. Just keep the "I know more than the coach" crap to yourself. You don't. Most of you have proven, on this message board, that you know very little about college football much less defensive schemes and the like. Just shut it.

unfortunately... it's not just people on the rant... it's a large segment of LSU fans and quite frankly it's embarrassing. LSU is in the top 10-15 programs nationally and has been for several years now. We have a fantastic new coach, who despite adjusting to the "big time," is winning with more consistency than any other coach in the modern history of LSU. After every loss he's had (which - oh by the way - is still countable on 2 hands in his fifth season) we've had a LARGE base of tiger fans calling for his dismissal? That's ridiculous... And to top it off, we're not even supposed to be good this year. We passed on HOW many guys to the NFL last year? Dropped the starting QB from the team? Another hurricane season? And for the first time in the Miles Era we get spanked... totally dominated, butt kicked... and someone wants to fire him?

For those people who wanna "fire Miles" or say crap like that... I say fire you. I don't want you in my fan club. I don't want fans like you sitting in seats next to mine cheering on my Tigers.

Just my 2 cents... this crap has been bugging me for days.

I'm with ya'll. It's one game. Yes, it was a disappointment, but we didn't have many things go our way saturday. If we don't turn the ball over, force a turnover, and take care of some of the defensive lapses, then that's a competitive game. People are far too worked up over the way we lost. The team is solid. They've shown it already this season. They will show it again. We still control our own destiny in the west.

It's just us. Don't mention how everyone saw LSU get exposed. No one is talking, you're right, the media is raving about LSU. I haven't seen anyone calling for Miles to be fired, but the Co-DC's that were going to be agressive, well, they have been anything but. The fact that pathetic excuse for offenses have moved the ball on us and there was a bye week to get ready for UF, escapes people like you that have their head in the sand. If the same team shows up against UGA, ole miss, and Bama, we are in for a long season.

You are more narrow-minded than "them". This is not about a LOSS. This is a concern that many of us have had going back to last season. We are giving up LOTS of points to BCS teams. It's been fortunate for us that Crowton's offense has bailed us out, but I wonder how much longer that can continue as this offense is not as potent as last year's, nor Jimbo's '06 O.

This is nothing about giving up on a team and/or wanting Miles to be fired. This isn't about "we stink" nor "the sky is falling". It is, though, a time for some serious consideration for change in several avenues - personnel changes, defensive coaching changes, philosophy, and leadership. Mallveto, I am afraid, will bring Les down if this trend continues.

I have been a loyal fan since birth and that will never change. I don't do bandwagons. I don't quit on my team. I do get concerned, however, if my team quits on you and me. I saw a team last Saturday that I had never before seen under Miles..an almost Miami, FL type team...and I didn't like it one bit. Yes, I am concerned.

How dare you point out the obvious, show concern for the future of LSU football, and question coaching decisions...you damn negafrickintiger, you brute.

I question your loyalty.

Are you now or have you ever been a member of the negatigerparty?

Answer the question!

My whole point is none of you have offered anything, i mean anything, that would change the 51-21 score from saturday, or anything that sounds like a logical personnel change that would help. All it is is "this guy sucks", "that guy can't cover". Please be concerned about the future of LSU football, I always am. Look around college football and tell me where the dominating "D's" are that only give up six to twelve points a game and i'll show you a team that isn't playing anyone. I want a better product too, but I aint gonna find the answers here. We expect the team to constantly stay absolutely elite every year, yet we are falling off real quick as a fanbase. We leave early win or lose and then come here to cry about the game. Ya think that type of mentality may have seeped into the football teams mindset? Please don't say we don't matter when you are here arguing what "we" need to do to get better. Just show up and kick arse. I hope not and that is Les's job to change that. I think he will.

well, give it up... let us know something

See, this is it right here. You don't know what's really going on but you do remember Lou Tepper and you figure that this will all end the same way... because you don't really know and that's all you can figure is happening. That goes for most of the people freaking out about this.

I do not understand why everyone that reads a post wants to take it to an EXTREME.

here is what IMHO people are saying....

not time to panic, time to be concerned

You can not fixed what is not acknowledged.

Some of you want to see everything as "BEING WELL" and ignore the trend that started last year...
yes, the year we won the NC, we were not only lucky to win some games, but lucky as to how we got into the NC game.

we have gone from #1 in D to # 32.
THIS SHOULD BE A CONCERN TO ALL FANS.....
now for you with your head in the sand...
that does not mean PANIC, or proclaims ARMAGEDDON.

just like in any other Monday morning business meeting...there are things to address.

"Questioning existing situations is good for the program" it keeps everyone on their toes and everyone does better when "accountability" is around the corner watching.

NEXT GAME, AND THE ONE AFTER, AND THE ONE AFTER THAT, etc.
will determine the level of concern and urgency really needed...time will tell
and that chapter can not be written ahead of itself.

one thing I do know.....
the questioning of the situation will bring about improvements

I approve this message. People are talking about this and turning it back at the fans who complain. I know there are people who will always complain, as do you. And no amount of ridicule is going to kill the negatiger's drive. So learn to ignore it like I do or keep frustrating yourselves.

quote:

Yes, it was a disappointment

A disappointment is not getting some when you think you are, or dropping the ice cream off your cone when you walk out of the store. 51-21 in the swamp with those bastards in your ear was much more than just a disappointment.

This is what most seemed to be concerned with. You can't have more than one captain on a ship. There's only one pilot on a plane (the other guy is the CO-pilot). I don't think most are panicking, I am not panicking, but we do want to see something change. I don't feel like the type of defense we are playing is going to get through an SEC schedule. There needs to be leadership from the coaches and the players and I don't think we saw any of that on the field last weekend.

Oh and, GEAUX TIGERS!

i've read many, many that have gone so far as to start to discredit our NC last year to further meltdown around the fact that they believe after the FIRST frickING LOSS OF '08, that Miles=DiNardo & Peveto/Mallory=Tepper. who the hell is taking things to extremes?

You really believe that? The general fans meltdown/rants about the game will bring about a good change?

I'm with you, bg... I keep saying that it can't be good for the players, who by the way are just kids out of high school-- not seasoned NFL players or something-- to have the LSU fan base all up in some sort of frenzy about how HOPELESS the rest of the season can/will be.. I think these fans that are spreading fear may just be cooking up a self-fulling prophecy, and get what they are looking for..

I asked the following question last night, and none of the doomsday fans answered it... any takers this morning????

<<<<< I'm perplexed by the people who feel like the Peveto/Mallory concept is a failure, and that neither one is up to the task of installing an "LSU" worthy defense..... but are all up in arms for it to be fixed before the end of this season..

WHO is supposed to fix it RIGHT NOW? If they suck as much as you think they do, how could they be ABLE to do this???>>>>>

Maybe, just maybe, Miles knows that the defense is going to need management changes, possibly a whole new scheme.. no one here knows or will ever know that... but he's sure as hell not going to flip that switch this or next week, so you MAY have to do the unthinkable for this day and time.... and that's just sit back and make the best of this season, and then see what happens when the appropriate time comes to make the changes you are all so smart to know need to happen...

until then, there is nothing wrong with giving the young men in those LSU uni's the best playing environment they can have and deserve.... be a fan today, and an armchair AD/Head Coach later.......

This board would not be as popular as it is if everyone did that. It's a very opinionated and passionate board. This is what makes it great. Not disagreeing with you here, just sayin'.

ABSOLUTELY !

Forget football for a moment,...
this is about management, it is human nature to pay more attention and do a better job when they know that someone is evaluating their performance.

no different in football.
