1st game I have been to in person for a little while, you would think the players had a losing record and no chance in the postseason. Zero energy, like a morgue around there, mainly seniors, no wonder this senior class hasn’t achieved anything. I look for a quick exit in regionals.

They certainly are not playing like they were earlier in the season. Don't know what it is? The defense is making entirely too many errors for sure. It could be the loss of leadoff batter and third baseman Danieco Coffey? Hard to put a finger on this team right now.

Frankly, they look like they have quit, this is same class that the HC has made excuses for going on 4-5 yrs now…maybe it’s they aren’t that good

They were getting no-hit until the 5th inning. After that they seems to be having a blast.

No hit by a pitcher that is below average lol… this program needs a huge change of direction!

You know what happens with females that all live/work/play together all the time. They are all synchronized together? So it happens to the whole team all at the same time?

Harsh assessments being thrown around to a class that will have two players (Pleasants and Briggs) permanently distinguished on the Softball's Wall of Honor, and will have won as many Nattys as every other class.

Pleasants has been in a month long slump
If she doesn’t start hitting they won’t win regional

If they just jump up and down more and celebrate their failures harder they'll definitely break out of the funk Did you see Arkansas all fired up when they lost the 1-0 game to us Sunday?

It will be the first class of the current HC that hasn’t been to the WS..they will be remembered for late season collapses . Who gives a damn about individual accomplishments, in 5 yrs no one will remember what they did individually however they will remember how they didn’t win in the postseason

I'm sure they were BECAUSE THEY frickING WON. For some reason our rockhead fans think when LSU is the team that's losing they should be just as fired up.

Danieca Coffey is undoubtedly the MVP of the SEC for 2024. 24-0 with her in the lineup and 13-13 out. I assure you this will be the excuse for the lackluster play down the stretch. Never mind that the great Taylor Pleasants (4 infield errors in the last 4 games) is batting under .200 against SEC pitching. Supposed superstars are who you depend on to get you through rocky times. Apparently LSU softball has NONE of those types of players and the coaching staff has less energy than the players.

All of this is my opinion from what I see with my own 2 eyes. I yield to those of you with better eyesight

Looks like Leftwich did a better job of scheduling midweek cream puffs and that’s probably all the NCST AD gives a shite about.

Last season NCST was 18-35 overall and 6-18 in the ACC. That got the HC fired. This season under Leftwich they are 29-23 overall—and 5-18 in the ACC. Actually regressing in conference.

Leftwich fingerprints are all over this team unfortunately, it needs a roster turnover

It needs a HC turnover first.

Times up for Softball Nikki. We need a Coach that can bring the Program up to the level where it can go toe to toe with Oklahoma and Gasso.

Hey, here's a novel idea. Why not pull a Kim Mulkey and throw a "Big Bucks Offer She Can't Refuse" type deal at Gasso and get her in here. (Yall didn't think LSU would be able to get KM from Baylor either)

Who's next in the Softball HC pecking order nationally after Softball Saban? I don't follow softball and don't know the HC/Program hierarchy........

This has certainly cost us a few games, at minimum. Trouble hitting and third base has been rough since.

Did Gasso grow up 40 minutes from LSU’s campus? Did Gasso’s son play 4 years of college baseball at LSU?
