Just heard some talk on Hanagriff/Ott show about the regional. Apparently Arizona State has some freshmen pitchers that we should be able to hit, theoretically. They were speculating about who would start in the circle for LSU on Friday vs Texas Southern…perhaps Selman or Corbello? Will be an interesting call for the coach

It goes through Arizona this year.
They love pairing us up with them.
You beat them you will end up in Oklahoma City.

Macha's the better of the two, but she's not great, and they might have to throw her against Nebraska. The other one's ERA is in the 5's. Neither of them are big strikeout pitchers. Unlike Auburn, who made up for average pitching with great defense, ASU is pretty average in the field.

Theoretically is right. Auburn's pitchers were pretty weak and we struggled at the plate against them.

When was the last time that Selman got the start? I don't think we've seen much of her lately.

Selman and Corbello both last saw action in game 1 of the Missouri series, which was 3 weeks ago.

The key to the regional is Hoover's performance in the marble game at 11:00am on Saturday. IF Hoover is on her game, she is by far the best pitcher in the regional and she will be the difference.

Yep. Hopefully we won't need either Hoover or Waljasper to step in on Friday night.

I'd let Selman start tomorrow.
I also want to keep Bourg at 2nd, just let Quinn DH
We should win with ease if we play the way that we should. The key going into the regional is to get rolling. When we were on a roll before, no one could play with us. I think a couple games in a row playing good ball will be a huge spark going forward.
This team has all the tools, the experience, the intangibles. Now its time to put it all together. I expect us to come out on fire tomorrow. I want to see the lineup hit with more consistency as well.

I hope everyone comes out tomorrow and packs the park.

Lady Tigers got to have the coolest/"hottest" looking uniforms in all of collegiate softball. It's a definite BONUS when they are outsanding athletes as well....

The hottest bat will get the DH time IMO. There will be no big tweaks to the team at this point. They simply need to gain their confidence back and perform. The time for excuses has past. They are all on one of the best teams in the nation. It's time to act like it.
