Last year, the top 8 RPI teams were awarded the 8 national seeds, not the top 8 teams in the polls.

Florida was the 4 seed in the SEC tourney and was a 5 national seed.
Georgia was the 5 seed in the SEC tourney and was a 4 national seed.

Tennessee was the 2 seed and Missouri the 3 seed in the SEC tourney last year and were not national seeds.

Conclusion: RPI is more important when handing out the top 8 national seeds NOT the polls.

What is our current RPI?

Did it drop after we lost the series to Auburn?

It was #2 before this weekend. But considering Auburn was #3 I doubt it drops very much.

I can almost guarantee you , that LSU will in fact host a Regional. If they win, they will in return, host the Super Regionals as well. I sure hope they dont send the ole ULL down here.

In the past ULL has been at Tiger Park for regionals or super regionals. With LSU's RPI at #2 I would think the Tigers would get a lower seed than ULL. ULL is in the top 10 in the polls currently.

Yeah, I saw that. How does that even happen after beating the former/current #2 RPI twice on the road? Haha.
