I'm concerned that we may have peaked too early. We're not pitching or hitting nearly as well as we were earlier in the season.

Relax, LSU has talents and good coaching staff. The team will do alright and qualify for post season championships!

You've always pressed the panic button when anything goes wrong with the softball program

it's still a really young team, and they've exceeded my expectations thus far. unfortunately we got a shitty scheduling rotation. the home schedule sucks, and just about all of our big conference games outside of Auburn are on the road.

they'll be fine

Hey it happens, we had an off night. I know Torina will make adjustments and we will come back stronger. Everything just didn't go our way last night. It happens. This will be a big weekend for us. All will be good. I still predict we will host a super regional

I will say this...how many of you would have ecstatic that we would be 36-4 and ranked #1 at this point in the season? I know that as young as we are, I am definitely thrilled where we are right now. I feel that we are ahead of schedule for sure and are on the right track for more improvement in the future!"

So if we get sidetracked every once in awhile, it's part of the team growing up and getting better. I'm enjoying this ride and love the work that our players and staff are putting in daily for our program!!

Also, the talent we have coming in the next few years is as good or probably better than what we have currently, so let that sink in... We will have a top 5 pitching staff over the next four years to go along with great hitting.

Yeah, if LSU wants to be the unanimous #1, Walljasper and Hoover have to build on this season going forward. It just feels like LSU has 4 really good, not elite pitchers. I think those two can certainly grow into that role though, given they're just freshmen.

The softball team should be fine. They can beat anyone but are not invincible.
