She has always had a lot of pop in her bat, glad to see her get one. I have no doubt she would put up some power numbers the more she plays.

4-1 for the road swing will do. Tough loss to Tulsa, but they aren't bad.

Now let's go gymnasts and Lady Tigers basketball...

OU lost two games in a row last night and today. Still not a bad weekend. Springfield was pretty solid. Andrews is continuing to get better the more reps she is getting. Satchell had a nice outing today. I am not too concerned with the Tulsa loss, we will be fine. All the teams we played in this tournament had solid records and have beaten good teams. It will actually help our RPI and SOS. We should beat the hell out of Georgia next weekend. I know people want to give our team a tough time about defense, Georgia's would turn you into an alcoholic. They are really bad

Andrews is a good player and has some high level tools. I'm shocked it took 30 games to figure out she should be in the outfield every game. It was apparent from the first weeks in the fall.

I am curious what Torina is going to do about the 3B situation. Both Doyle and Sanchez have been struggling a lot offensively. Sanchez has also had her struggles at times at 3B. Doyle looks really good defensively at 3B in practice, she is just in a major funk at the plate right now.

I think Satchell's play this game definitely will get her some more looks. Jaquish will need breaks from playing catcher at times but I think Satchell can blossom the more at bats she can get. Andrews is taking off now, she seems a lot more confident at the plate due to getting more reps.

I think the offense this year is definitely holding their own. We have had our struggles at times but that was to be expected. Losing Bell, Kloss and Simmons now looking back.. we lost

30 homeruns

34 doubles

6 tripples

202 hits

150 RBIS

This team is very inconsistent right now. Hopefully they will have it together by end of year.

Just throwing ideas out there....we will definitely need Doyle as the season progresses, but for now, you can let Walljasper hit when she pitches. That gives Doyle time off.

When Walljasper isn't pitching, perhaps DP her and let Doyle try 3rd, giving Sanchez a breather. Or let Satchell catch on occasion and put Jaqusih at 3rd.

Good to have options.

Sometimes Torina is reluctant to switch defense too much mid season, but there IS a precedent there two years in a row...Bourg at 2nd for Quinn 2 years ago and Bell moving to 3rd to make room for the human vacuum Serrett at short last year.
