So, will the camera find Archie Manning in crowd next Saturday?

Is there any other school beside Ole Miss that treats a football player from 45 years ago like royalty? The guy was a very good college QB and an average NFL QB, his son was another very good Ole Miss quarterback, but neither ever won anything there that was meaningful. I don't get it, one would think they could move on.

I love Archie, but I'm a Saints fan.

Eli won 2 superbowls

In their defense, they haven't had much to cheer for over the past 50 years. I think Deuce is well thought of as well. Both he and Archie played locally in the NFL therefore remained relevant in this region.
What else do they have unless you want to watch The Blind Side again..

Pretty sure he was referring to his collegiate career.

In Archie's defense (not that he needs one) he played with the Saints! Had he been with a better team, his NFL career would've been different.

IMO, it's the networks that treat Archie as royalty (even though I'm sure Ole Miss does too), and as far as I'm concerned, a better person couldn't have been crowned.
Look at like this.......when everyone that's ever been lossely associated with a person - in Archie's case, that list goes tops out at NFL executives and business leaders, and goes down to the most humble of Chalmatians - when about 95% of everyone in that list actually reveres you, then your
royal status has been duly earned.
I've met/been around Archie and his wife/kids a handful of times over my almost 50 years, and every time, I saw the same, exact thing. Humble, appreciative, and genuinely "good" folks that expected nothing, gave more than there share, and went tactfully and graciously OUT OF THEIR WAY to be sure YOU knew they were nothing special. If this country did have royalty, we could do worse than anyone from Clan Archie.

Hard for me to believe he would set foot in Tiger stadium unless his son is actually playing. Someone had to pay him big bucks just to enter Louisiana in early 70s.

Hope someone posts that "house of toddy" "scripture". Always a fun read.

I would hope that he wouldn't come to tiger stadium

Why wouldn't they? Archie is all they got.
