.......or why a guy smart enough to get a law degree would be complacent to play 2nd fiddle to a guy that sounds like he fell off the back of the garbage truck and hit his head one too many times?

Well once again Miles has an econ degree from Michigan so obviously education doesn't prove much.

I hear Applewhite can't wait to move back home, he's angling for the job

He has never been an LSU man, so I would like to see some evidence that he could find true positive feelings for the Tiger football program. Not that he won't, just have not heard the right things to convince me he has any good vibes for LSU sports.

I do understand, however, that once someone enters into and out of multiple college programs (Bama, Rice, UT), and becuase they realize they can only have current moment allegiance due to the reality of needing to move to advance, that they can change and be professional. Chief Chavis learned that, and many others have, so with that being said, bring on Major!

As long as Gargamel is canned I'm happy. I truly believe just letting a college QB just call plays on the fly would be more effective then what we have right now.

Is Lynn Amedee still alive?
He was OC under Galen Hall in '80s.
He is the only person to hold Emmit Smith
to less than 1000 yds.

it will have to be someone who worked with Joe Robinson or Studwara a decade ago. Research their coaching brethren and you'll have your new OC. Larry Porter may still have some influence also.

Why don't we promote Billy Gonzales? He a guy who knows offense but we might have to hire a separate QB coach though since his expertise is WRs.

Actually the Steve Logan thing is interesting. I would like David Shaw at Stanford. Maybe Kliff Kingsbury, that might be something to look at. I know its lateral, but what about Kevin Wilson.
