Sounds like LSU under Orgeron. We know the sudden shrinkage is attributable to the lack of confidence and trust for HC.

Is this going to be a player-trend to bring about a change in head coaches? Not good.....a Woke-wedge is in progress!!

Mullen has really screwed himself the past few weeks in games as well as comments about his lack of recruiting. He’s not going to survive past next year at this rate.

Didn't he take Florida to NY6 bowls the past two years? At least the past two.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the guy and I loathe Florida but I know they played in a decent bowl last year when they had Trask and I can't remember what bowl they were in the year before that. And I don't feel like looking it up.

I can't see Florida booting him out, at least this season, after doing that. He would at least get another season, in my opinion.

But who knows. They got rid of Zook with the quickness.

He did and got embarrassed last year and made a comment that it was just a scrimmage for his team

He’s not getting fired this year, but grantham will be gone and Mullen better produce next year or he’s out too.

Ouch. I didn't know about that.

Not a good look for him.

Haven't been impressed with him either. Which is fine with me, he can keep him

I have to agree but I'd be ok if they kept him around a little longer.

This potential *theme* of players quitting/jumping shift at UF and LSU is just another microcosm of this generations Incredible amount of pussyness in addition to the how the portal can completely decimate a program in just 12 months.

Mullen may make the sixth-most amount of money annually at $7.570 million, but the university would only have to pay him $12 million to buy him out of his contract. This is less than any head coach in his relative annual salary range.

Now you MFers are just using this for anything you don't like. This doesn't have shite to do with "woke".

This will be the new normal. As soon as teams are out of contention, players will bolt.

It's ruining the sport.

I'm all for the student athlete, even the transfer portal when its done right way. A player buried in the depth chart. An upper class men wanting to get playing time. But just in the case of Gilbert, a starter receiving playing time and leading the nation in receptions for all skills players. The transfer portal should put an end to emotion players just wanting to leave because of their feelings at all schools, not just LSU.

Well they made it incredibly easy for the players to transfer so it’s not like they care if they get scholarship revoked

I heard it first hand from someone high up in the Athletic department that the portal is the reason LSU and other teams cannot keep depth at any position. I know, I know, how about Alabama and Saban. You can just put an asterisk by statements about most teams that Alabama is an exception.

Nah, Orgeron is the reason.

We have like 20 starters from camp injured right now. This is not some "player trend".

Also, we did practice. We just didn't do a full freshman vs walk on scrimmage like we usually do. Read past the headline one time please.
