There is no reason that a top baseball program should be rebuilding. This team is young but they really needed to get their feet wet against better talent early on. This isn't your typical LSU team and it might be the worst one CPM has had. It's hard finding any ALL SEC type talent on this team outside of Lange.

Losing 8 outta 9 starters will hurt you but there is no excuse for not being prepared to handle this. So now the team is having to suffer through a long season that more than likely wont result in postseason play.

I essentially said this after the first game of the year when we struggled against a weak opponent. I was crucified on this board by the "it's only the first game" crowd. My point was that this team does not have the talent last year's team did, and it would show itself to be a major obstacle once we faced stiffer competition in the SEC and beyond. I think the eternal P&G glasses crowd may finally be waking up to reality.
