Is this going to happen every year? And will this be the new excuse if LSU loses? Seems like this is going to be a every year thing, and will prevent us from reaching our full potential.

Nobody can compete with defections like this, year in and year out.

it seems like that's the norm now with LSU. 3 and out. it happens to some extent everywhere but it is looking like clean sweep at LSU.

OBJ and Juice were just like Mingo and Sonic last year. One goes and the other goes. Both were banged up at least a bit at some point in the season, at a skill position. Very smart move by both.

Feel like Ego should have stayed but I see Freak's reasoning for leaving. We should have let freak stay at about 315-320 imo but that's another subject.

How is this different than any other elite team? Great players leave early. Maybe we should recruit a bunch of less talented players who won't be NFL prospects. I'm sure that will work well.

Such a refreshing topic. It shouldn't be ignored by the posters on this board any longer. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

NFL sorta sucks for doing this. If these kids have a degree they have a shot if they don't make it. Some will get wealthy some will get screwed. Big money rules.

I know this is talked about alot. If you don't want to talk about it, then fine. But let me tell yall this. I don't want to hear "well we lost because we didn't have Jarvis or Odell". Just like I heard this year about our defense. Every year LSU will lose a ton of players early. Something needs to change, or LSU will struggle to get back in the National Championship.

Don't get me wrong, I wish all of our players the best luck in the NFL and believe that they will be productive in the NFL.

I don't expect a repeat of 2012 but don't act like LSU has never had players declare early. There are always 1-2 each year.

It looks like Bama is losing a lot of players too, right? It happens to teams with elite talent. Yes, it will be the norm. Get use to it with rookie salary cap.

Rockford. With all.this elite talent, so much more than all the other schools without elite talent, why do we lose 3 games?

Other schools with talent dont lose as much talent to the nfl as LSU?

We just need to play players earlier and bench the older players.

Red shirting Gilmore is pointless. He will play the next 2 years and leave

The Gumps keep their players 4 years because they take a pay cut when they go to the NFL

For some reason, Alabama seems to have a few star juniors return every year.

McCarron, Jones, Mosley... and now DePriest.

It would be nice if we could occasionally return at least one high profile junior each year.

Thanks for keeping it to our attention. Seems like whenever someone posts on a subject they don't like, the thread goes...well, right back to the top of the board.
