Green Bay may be closer to Madison than Houston is to Baton Rouge, but Lambeau will not be as big of a home advantage crowd wise for Wisconsin as Houston will be for LSU.

Badger fans have little reason to travel in August to Houston to watch this matchup knowing they get a return game in 2 seasons and this year's team has a ton of question marks. If this game were in NOLA or Baton Rouge the situation would be different. Houston simply isn't a travel destination like NOLA or on campus with tailgating and Tiger Stadium like Baton Rouge. As it stands Bucky will be severly outnumbered in Houston.

On the other hand, LSU fans have a trip to "Gods Country" up here and historic Lambeau field to escape the heat. There will be tailgating. There will be a vibe in the air. They will have more enthusiasm for the trip up to Wisconsin.

Percentage wise more LSU fans will make it into Lambeau than Wisconsin fans into Reliant. Just the circumstances.

I just pointed out that Lambeau would have a large contingent of Wisconsin fans, not that it would be a larger 'home field advantage' than Houston would be to LSU.

Completely agree here and I pointed this out elsewhere. Hell, I'm in this boat, too. Knowing Wisconsin was going to Dallas in 2015 and LSU coming to Lambeau in 2016, I put my eggs in that basket.

As I said, I agree.

It will be a great time. To make a weekend out of it, I would almost encourage LSU fans to stay in Appleton that weekend. Surprisingly a large number of bars on College Avenue. There are also shuttles from Appleton to Green Bay on Sundays when the Packers are playing at home. I'd have to imagine they are taking this under consideration for the UW/LSU game in 2016.

I think LSU may be afraid of the humongous farm gals of Wisconsin, more than the Badgers!
