b)what's the excuse for LSU's mighty defense getting Bo Wallace's balls rubbed on their face???

We're talking about rushing. Ole Miss rushed for 175 yds. It was the passing game that got us. Mett threw 3 terrible INT's.

And beat us on FG as time expired. In their house.

Some of you badger fans are funny. The Tigers do not lose the first game of the season and will not this saturday. The badger fans who are talking shite now will most likely not be back right after the game. One or two may be back to say congratulations, but that's it.

Different year, same first game results.

LSU gave up 100 plus to whoever Colonel Reb's RB was and 500 plus total offense

just cherry-picking one game out of the season like that dude was doing with Gordon vs Ohio St…LSU's rush D is always good. will be solid again this year I'm sure. Definitely last year wasn't as good as it has been cumulative over the past decade

LSU's run D was ranked somewhere around 40th last year

Your guy averaged around 134ypg agains an run defense average of 64tg

To compare, Jeremy Hill averaged 115 ypg agains an average of around 49th run defense. ( one game he only had 6 touches for 50 yards)

Of course, that was all last year but its fun to look at comparable results. If you like you can check out how Jeremy Hill did VS Iowa compared to what ya'll stud did.

After watching some highlights it's obviouse the boy is fast. He can get to the corners and wins the races. Will be interesting to see if he has the speed to do this against LSU. He's also fast enough that the Wisc O-line doesnt need to open up holes long before he is through them but he def needs holes because he isn't breaking many tackles

Will be the most intriguing matchup to watch and hopefully LSU doesn't let him break any big ones

I agree those teams are bad. and, really we have made a living out of beating the piss out of everybody beside Ohio St and Mich St in our league recently.

back to Gordon….what about 190 vs Arizona St? and 143 against the SEC's very own Gamecocks?

all I can say is put MGIII in the backfield, with say, Aaron Murray and he shreds any league in college football.

he runs against an 8-man or 9-man box a great deal of the time. Certainly did vs South Carolina and ASU.

why are we to respect asu? theyre a middle of the road team in a bad conference. that being said, gordon is good and he hits the whole fast. should be a good one saturday.

Those teams were less than stellar at run defense.

I dont think anyone is talking too much junk. We think Gordon is good, some of you don't think he's that great. It's a difference of opinion. Nothing more, and because of that, I don't have the energy to debate it endlessly. We'll see how he does on Saturday.

Exactly. Against the 2 teams with a pulse of a defense he couldn't crack 100. But he's going to run all over LSU.

He averaged 5ypc vs Ohio state. Cant reach 100 when you only get 15 carries. He's damn good. It doesnt make any sense to deny it.

I've only watched parts of games for them, and his highlight film. To me, he looks good, but not better than the upper end SEC backs. A lot of the highlights (and this goes for any back you talk about I realize) came against teams that LSU would schedule for homecoming or game 2 of their season. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get 125 yards, but I'd put that on their OLine more than their RB.

I would anticipate him getting more than 15 on saturday. And I'd take a 5 YPC average all day and twice on Saturday.

Obviously offensive line is huge, but if you've watched his film, you'll know that he gets a ton of yards by making guys miss, outrunning them, or after contact. That's all him. And there's a reason he's either the number 1 or 2 RB prospect on every mock draft out there.

He's super good, just like that Oregon offense was.

You think this LSU defense is as good as the one that played against Oregon?

Do you have any proof that they aren't? Did I miss a preseason game or something?

Gordon went missing against Ohio St, Iowa, BYU, and Penn St.
List of teams he broke 100 against
Umass
Tenn. Tech
Arizona St
Perdue
Northwestern
Illinois
Indiana and
South Carolina.

Only one stands out as a decent team, and y'all still lost by 10 points.

Maybe, maybe not. The fun part is we'll actually find out.

And you say "our". Did you go to LSU or UNC? Those are two major programs. Which are you a fan of?

Does your fan base come up with anything original?

That has nothing to do with anything

My question was not about being original. It was more about my curiosity. Why the hesitation to answer a simple question?
