Yall were absolutely right! Max just wasn't the guy. Nuss blew him away, just look at the stats! Who's the new flavor of the week now?

Proud of all the athletes who just keep on grinding. Tune out the noise and keep working Tigers (Max, Nuss, Bech, and all who wear the purple and gold)

Mr. Brad Johnson, I'm sorry that your son was benched. That's not our fault though. Blame Orgeron, his shitty hires, and your son's lack of arm strength. Hope to see him compete for the starting job again next year under a competent coaching staff.

Yeah should be content with 4 and 5 instead of trying something different.
We were rolling with Max. If it ain’t broke…..

Said last night and I’ll say it again.

I didn’t know if Nuss was good or not but we’ve seen neighbor of Max to know that he isn’t.

Also, as bad as Nuss was last night, Peetz didn’t help him with his drive killing play calls. Like the wildcat when Nuss had some momentum and was driving. Or the reverse when we looked like we were moving the ball a bit. And getting cute on 4 down instead of lining up and fighting for 6 inches.

Max played the whole game last week. Had a chance to win it at the end. And didn't

Nuss played most of the game this week. Had a chance to win it at the end. And didn't.

Not sure what you are gloating about?

Next you'll be telling me the defense is the best in the nation, after 2 losses in a row.

I think we can all agree we were getting nowhere with Max, it was worth a shot to play Nussmeier

If they’re about equal, you give the other guy a shot in that situation/context against Bama.

Very few people were claiming Nuss was going to win the Heisman in 3 weeks as a freshman. Point still stands & he is getting valuable experience in a meaningless season.

So far this season Max has a better than a 3:1 Td/Int ratio. That is not bad at all. Nussmeier is 50% and max has a better completion percentage. You rantards just fall in love with a someone without paying attention to the numbers that actually matter.

The numbers that matter are wins and losses. Max was losing more than winning. That’s why you try to do something different. If you don’t think it’s worth a shot to try new leadership on offense you have expectations that are very very low.

Nussmeier lost last night and was directly responsible for it....unless I'm missing something.

Nuss' first full too. I do suspect he will be light years ahead of Max after a dozen games

Well , look . Nuss first extended game time . I liked what I saw . The drive killing wildcat call certainly didn’t help !!! There is alot of talent for a competent coach to work with . AND , you have the portal . I am confident we get a coach who checks out the portal more than the skanky babes !!??

don't forget Woodward. He has to approve all of these hires. The train wreck starts with the Chief.

Numbers and stats are what they are. Not going to debate all that. Just wanted to point out that there's some stuff that doesn't directly translate to the stat sheet that you notice when watching.

Max, although technically pretty sound and a good QB, tends to hold onto the ball too long and is slow working through his reads. Reminds me a good bit of the kind of struggle we saw from Brandon Harris at times. Just takes too long to process.

Nuss plays at a better pace in terms of moving the offense and working through his reads. Nuss tends to think he can escape everything, though, and needs to learn to throw the ball away at times. Both have a long way to go and both will likely see a lot more success in the future.
