So glad the baseball team didn't dogpile in Hoover

We went 2-1 for the week, not too shabby. But now, instead of draining ourselves and sucking our energy with a dogpile in Hoover, the baseball team can come home, watch the softball team, and get ready for what's important, getting to Omaha and winning it all.

I agree though. If we were going to lose out, this was a good way to do it. We still are in a great place to reach the goal that matters

Probably #1 overall seed, everything is in front of us. We have to handle business at home this year!

Yeah, I'm not losing any sleep over this one. We still have the SEC regular season title, and will be a high national seed on Monday. Nice spot to be in.

Only thing that bothered me is that two of our starting pitchers may have some shaken confidence. But we'll drill the SWAC champion in game 1, Lange will win game 2, and I like my chances with Poche throwing the championship game with us having to be beat twice.

LSU won the CWS in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2009. They won the SEC Regular Season Championship in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2009, and 2015. They won the SEC Tournamant in 1993, 2000, and 2009.
So, it looks like winning the Regular Season Championship is a stronger indicator of winning the CWS than is winning the SEC Tournament.
It's all still there for LSU.
