Pulling for a 2 loss LSU to destroy 9 straight opponents and everyone else to lose a game or two.

"You cant leave out the SEC champ on a 9 game win streak with a win over alabama!"

"They have a new QB and a new coach, and an offense that gives opposing defenses nightmares!"

Lose to Louisville, or anyone else, and not get in is a better option for us

Frick no. I want Louisville to beat them with no doubt. Very low chance that UH gets into Big 12 this year and I would have to believe Herman would drool over being HC here with the talent pool we possess. Not to mention to big pay raise.

No, you want Houston to stumble a bit. I think for him to come very close to the playoffs and not make it will clearly illuminate the advantages of coaching a team that commands more respect with the playoff committee than Houston.

We can't have them in the playoffs. Would very well cost us a shot at him. If they go undefeated I'd think they get in so a loss to Louisville would be nice

Herman won't be at Houston long and there is only 3-4 gigs that will open in the next year or two that he'd jump for. LSU being one of them. I think if we don't get into a bidding war with UT, USC, Notre Dame or A&M we win. 2 of those 4 are likely not firing a coach this year.

I try not to let myself linger too long on the prospect of hiring Herman. We would be an absolute and terrifying juggernaut.

Given his HC records at Ole Miss, 3-8, 4-8, and 3-9. Not good for LSU in long term and he would never be a contender for the ship. So no thanks.
