Miles and his representation did work their way into the searches at Purdue, Baylor and Houston.
A source familiar with the Baylor search said that part of Miles’ pitch was an offense run by Steve Sarkisian, the former USC and Washington head coach who is currently an offensive analyst at Alabama. Former New Mexico coach and Maryland assistant Mike Locksley, another Alabama analyst, would also be in tow, the source said.
The source was somewhat skeptical whether those coaches would really be part of the hire, and he was even more unsure that Miles’ offense would really change moving forward.
“When it’s third-and-4, who do you think is going to make that call?” he said.
Those close to the other searches also hinted that Miles’ presentation, a “binder” put together by members of his former LSU staff, was both disorganized and unrealistic.
One source said that several assistants who make more than $1 million per season were listed by Miles as potential coordinator targets. That included Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley, who was at one point part of the searches at Baylor and Houston. Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables was listed as a possible hire — even though he could soon see a raise that takes him close to $2 million per season.
“That might be more than Houston has for its entire coaching pool,” one industry source said when he heard about Venables’ inclusion.
Another source indicated that Miles’ interview with Houston was rather short, in large part due to the binder. Miles was not close to the job, those familiar with the search have told us.

Is fat goebbels helping him too?

Looks like most qualified ADs are able to see through that shite and conduct a real interview regardless.
Ours; "Welp, you've got a binder. That's all I needed to see." (Shouts to the board) "he's got a binder, guys. Draw up the proposal"

Welcome to 99% of college footballs assistant budget Les

I love how we've deconstructed the narrative to O hitting Alleva over the head with the binder and he just handed him a blank check.

Others schools dismissed Les because of the fantasy in his binder, and our AD lapped it up
un'fricking'believable

Well apparently Les' binder game is not on point.

Whatever happened in Da Coach O's interview, it now appears that any "search" was largely perfunctory.

Is this real? This is one of the cringiest things I've read on this site in a while. We got binders on binders.

Competent ADs are not impressed by a binder yet our buffoon AD was blown away because Coach 0 had one. We are in big, big trouble over the next few years.

LSU is an absolute laughing stock in living rooms all across the country right now.

Damn, ole Les is copying from Ed O with a binder, that looks like it was full of unrealistic shite like having Lincoln Riley or Sark as OC!!
Hell, Lincoln was a candidate who had an interview. He also mentions Venables as a top assistant-geez he makes too much for Houston's budget!
Les should have gone in there with a nice suit and his charm and say he will hire a top notch coordinator to run a power-spread offense and want to retain Orlando to build on his current stout defense, which would probably keep Ed Oliver and company happy
But no, he came in with a plagiarized binder from coach O

The binder stuff is way overblown with O. What are you doing in an interview for a HC position other than laying out your plan. O just had his organized. We've painted the picture that it was filled up with pictures of crawfish and empty beer bottles, with the last page being an LSU helmet he drew when he was 8.

The binder looked like a high school project. What other job in the country would hire a CEO of a $60+ million operation with that type of presentation?

you're judging a binder by it's cover....

Wow! Absolutely PERFECT description of a Miles operation.

Sad to say that's exactly how i thought it would go for Leslie. Poor les is out of the Lsu bubble now and doesn't realize other schools can't pay what we do for assistants.

"Disorganized" and "unrealistic" is the Miles Era in a nutshell.

Wheeeeee. Another hate Les thread. We can't ever get to many of these can we?
Now you baws can get back to playing with your Legos.

Houston would be lucky to have a coach like Miles.
