Players like J Cox can be on the team next year if they want? Essentially freshmen this year will be freshmen next year......correct?

Well; to be fair to them would you voluntarily take a pay cut?

That was a stupid knee jerk reaction by the NCAA. There was no need to make that decision when they did.

If players opted out they shouldn’t have lost eligibility, but players playing right now getting an extra year is absurd and will screw up scholarship numbers for years.

With the shite our team is producing, we better see 20 of the 22 come back next year.

Yeah this wont really effect us at all. Anyone with a draft grade will more than likely declare and the people who don't wont likely make a big impact anyways.

Marshall is the only one who has shown the ability to leave.

Cox, Stevens, Ingram, and Deculus will probably leave as well. Maybe Logan or Farrell. May lose others to the transfer portal.

I could see Deculus staying if he improves enough this season to see the hope of being drafted after the next.

It will affect us if we’re playing teams with stacked veteran rosters

I doubt they will just pass on the NFL to start again at Alabama, for half the money they would earn in the NFL.

LOL I'm kidding about the money part.

There are more sports than just football. This is the problem, not the NCAA decision. College football is a business and Power 5 should break away from the NCAA.

I agree but LSU will be fine. LSU is almost down a full class of guys right now.

Nick Saban gonna have to tell all of his guys the NCAA screwed up and your not getting that 6th year.

This is why it feels like this season is an exhibition and doesn't even count.

It makes me feel a little better about our start anyway.

Exactly.

If you opt out or your team plays less than 50% of their scheduled games, you don't burn eligibility.

If you play and your team plays 50% or greater of their games, you burn a season.

Shouldn't be that hard.
