How many years of underachieving do we allow before a change is made? ( I use the term underachieving because recruiting allegedly has been great) The only reason I ask is once the program is perceived to be down it is much harder for a new coach to revive.

A losing season gets miles on the hot seat.

Mikes will likely have to make that decision. My guess is he retires after next year. The pressure is really wearing him down.

You are correct McElwain is having a rough year at Florida I don't know how long it will take for him to revive that program but obviously it will take longer than HIS FIRST YEAR!!!!

Has recruiting been that great? Did it fill the needs of the team? Yes, I know the stars add up to a good class ranking, but did we get what we needed to restock the team?

Look at the positions of OL, DT, LB, and QB. Has recruiting been that great the last few years? Yeah we have great RBs, WRs, and a few good DBs. But overall, did we really do that good of a job recruiting for a goal of a dominate team at the LOS?

Good point. I think the coach is perceived to be down but not the program.

Which is why I used the term allegedly. Last year I thought was good for those trench positions. Before that it was mostly skilled positions except QB.
