Look i'm prob not near the ex football player u all will claim to be. I'm just reading x/o's thanks to a few other threads and his thought process is something different. We all feel it don't lie. 2016 is gonna be special boizzz

The best thing I've heard him say to date is that he will find the offenses weakest player and attack it. Then attack it some more. Seems like a simple concept but I think coaches out think themselves too much in today's game.

Thing with Aranda is he'll attack the weak point in several ways. It's good to find and exploit it, but if you keep throwing the same play at it eventually the offense is gonna pick up. It's all about being multiple but the with same ultimate goal.

This idea of picking a weak spot works better on defenses fellas. Just saying

Aranda has never had the caliber of athletes that this team has. It will be a very special year for the defense.

I watched the big 10 media days interview with Paul cryst head coach of wisconsin...not impressed. We cherry picked the best coach on their staff without a doubt in a position of need for lsu. Thier head coach is an idiot. We will beat them by 2 tds easy book it.

Has Aranda coached against the caliber of athletes he's about to face? I love the hire but that has to be factored in as well.

OSU. And didn't he face Bama in the first game last year? Now, of course, he didn't face SEC type athletes week in and week out, but he has faced them before. OSU and Cardale Jones dropped like 60 on him in tB1G championship a couple years ago... But, once again, he didn't have 5* after 5* to defend them with...

The issue I see is that most everyone has quickly annointed this defense as the '85 Bears before they've even taken a snap. I think we'll be fine, but no one knows how they will transition. Remember Pelini's first month of games, people were quickly calling for his head.

What if our offense did that? That would be cool.

Chryst is no idiot.
You did get our best coach and you may win by 2 tds....but Chryst is a good coach.
As an OC for us he has been great overall. He knows the play action game. He puts players in a position to win.
He is unassuming in a Midwestern way. But very down to earth and sincere and smart with football and good with people.

You broke up the dream staff with PC doing the O and DA doing the D. They only had 1 year together and had a non existent offensive line and the best tailback injured all year. I will wonder what if now that DA is gone.

Add bama to that list as well. And pretty sure he's given up 30+ to all those teams.

With 1/2 if not 1/3 of the talent he has at his disposal this year. LSU will be in a good spot with defense. Not worried one bit about that.
