A few things:

(1) They say Claiborne is more of a ballhawk than a coverage guy based on his YPA. But the fact that he was only thrown at 25 times over the 7 game sample (Which is dumb anyway, do the rest of the games not matter or something?) shows what kind of coverage guy he is. Teams don't even bother with him.

(2) TM7's YPA is fairly overexaggerated based on one 72-yard completion against WVU.

(3) Without comparing what our CB's did versus what other CB's did against these same offenses (or, stated differently, what these same offenses did against other CB's), you don't get a true picture of how good our guys were compared to everyone else.

He is a great man to man corner but God he blows his assignments in zone consistently.

You posted this same statement the other day in a similar thread that was applauding Simon as the next shut down corner. Over the summer when folks on here were stating that maybe he should play the #2 corner, you went on a tangent again about how he was nowhere near as good as Mathieu. No love for 24.... we get it.
