No way I'd play in a meaningless tournememt and risk being the Number 1 pick. Especially for this joke of a staff

I don't know he already made the decision to get coached by Johnny Jones.

I'd be fine with that. Start Patterson, Blakeney, Sampson, Epps, and Victor. Get ready for next year. Get those guys playing time together so you have game film to see how they work together.

He would get destroyed in the media and that could have a negative influence on his endorsements. Do you really want to hear the media talking about that all day for a week or so?

While the staff is certainly a joke, Simmons is the punchline.

Dude has zero drive

I say he should play. It will only be one game.

Yes he will... He needs another year.. His stock will get way higher with another year... I doubt he even gets drafted this year anyway....

It looked like when he was taken out of the game today for the last time, that was his last game.

Risk/ Reward

His ACLs and MCLs might not get that memo.

I'd be done, he sure was looking like that today.

That would not be smart for him... The scouts will frown on that... Not sure how much his so-called stock would drop, but it sends a negative message IMO... But I don't care much about players after they leave LSU and if he doesn't want to play in the NIT then don't even bring him...

Adnan Virk just said, "This is it for Simmons, right? He won't play in the NIT if the Tigers make it?"

"Absolutely not," said the other analyst.

Simmons' career here is over.

So did the two who were drafted late last year but they still left.

Where is Antonio projected if he left? Also, the other two were much more ready for the big time than he is. He only had half of a good season. He needs to come back next year and average 18-20 and then we'll see his stock rise.
