Stop freaking out. Started off similarly on the road last yr (high penalties, less than stellar blocking, dominant defense) and we turned out ok.

Different year, different players need to step up, costly injuries and suspensions. It is what it is. I'm not happy with the performance, but I'm certainly not losing my mind like fellow posters.

Exactly.

Could have made all the difference in the world if we just gotten on more score too... would look no different.

Can't wait.

True. Our offense wasn't stellar vs. MSU. We just didn't have a 14 point swing with TO's.

Yea. The difference is we got a TD late last year to make the score look better. The bottom line is that we went on the road (against a team that needed to beat Ole Miss in the final week to get bowl eligible), looked incredibly sloppy, and bounced back just fine.
And to the poster who said it doesnt feel like last yr....defense still dominant, still loaded with runners, have a better qb. So I guess it isn't completely like last yr.

Turnovers is the major difference between this years offense and last years, especially in the red zone.

On D, this years front 7 is better but the secondary still needs to improve, they are getting better with each game which is a good sign.

Slight dropoff in STs so far.

maybe but last years team doesn't feel like this years team. Last year has a swag/turnover feel to it.
So really last year felt better than this year.

These games are very similiar. Can't believe everyone is freaking out, or maybe I can.

We miss TM, but we knew we were going to miss TM. He was TM. And now we're without Faulk. To me, those were two of the top three guys we could least afford to lose. We did, and now we're trying to find some players to step up. It's unfortunate but that's how it is.

I will take a shot at it.

There is a reasonable chance that LSU will play well in the Florida game, well enough to give a reasonable semblance of a team pursuing the national championship, and put everyones mind at ease, once again. I am counting the seconds until this happens.

A primer in interpretation of such
