After reading on this site that O may be setting Canada up as the scapegoat for this year, I had an idea.

Probably dumb, but here goes.......

The pro LSU BOS should have Alleva flip the script on CEO. The current state of LSU football rests on CEO's shoulders. It was his binder, his choice of who to fire and who to retain and his choice of who to hire, with the understanding he would let his coaches coach.

Force him to honor his decisions the way his buyout forces LSU to honor his contract. Tell him this was his master plan, he has to stick with it, hands off the coordinators. The only way he can fire a coach is if he takes their pay off his buyout or reworks his contract.

Otherwise, he will be fired with cause for failing to honor his end of the agreement, letting his coaches coach.

So call him on it, piss him off, tell him no more meddling. Tell him, according to his agreement, he is just a recruiter and a cheerleader.

High powered coordinators being allowed to do their job was the major selling point.

Thinking CEO is a capable head coach is naive and idiotic. In the real world, LSU hired him.

It’s going to be interesting to see who and what kind of coaches will want to come to a lower tier football team such as LSU when all are released whaenever that day may come....they couldn’t bring in the BIG fish the last go round, brought in supposably 2 top offensive, defensive coordinators which I’m sure they still are considered that but don’t have the athletes they need to succeed.... so, wondering what high profile head coach not carrying any baggage or skeletons in their closet will want to come to LSU without giving them 20 million to coach here?.... HUMMMMMMM....

Hate to say it because it didn't occur to me previously, but O's success as "interim HC" has always piggybacked off of teams that were already pretty successful. It's not like he walked into a situation with a terrible team and he just happened to turn it around.

@ OP, I do like your idea however. I hope they find something to be able to get rid of him w/out the buyout having to be paid.
