He is the most despised man by them now. They are on probation and no bowl again. Next year they will start to feel the effects of the probation and the scholarship reduction.
One player's "mistakes" costs an entire university. Similar could happen to LSU if we became lenient like USC.

when did anyone do that?

When they tweeted that, "Let kids be kids, you were all 18 once."

I take that to mean that whoever tweeted that believes that all 18 year olds fail drug tests and it's okay to do that.

So you don't think university rules should be applied evenly?

where in the university bylaws are drug tests required? that is an athletic department policy and the coaches mandate that, not the university. this is not a matter of applying university rules evenly. this is a matter of football team rules. and "get kicked out of the university if they bring harm to the image of the university" is such a broad term i don't even know how to respond to it. these players took a team mandated drug test in which the results have not been made public. les miles didn't say a word at the press conference. so any "harm to the image of the university" was created on internet sites like this. the official statement will end up being "a violation of team rules." that could be a multitude of different things. of course we all know what happened because of the internet, but really the players did nothing publicly to harm the image of the university. so that is a pretty weak comparison imo. and as a band member, you'd have to do something pretty fricking outlandish for anyone to even notice, no offense.

Simple fact of the matter here is that these are not just regular college boys. They are football players at a top tier D1 school and are held to a higher standard of conduct than the average student. Playing for this team is a privilege and they made an extremely stupid decision to jeopardize that, especially since they're both key starters. It was selfish and shows a serious lack of leadership. I think the suspension will be good for TM7, hopefully he gains a little humility from this situation.
