On the east side of the facility, facing Tiger Stadium, the weight room will be expanded by at least 20 percent and include a second-floor mezzanine with windows overlooking the driveway into the facility.
The east-side addition will be about 5,000 square feet, Emmett Davis told the LSU Board of Supervisors last week.

On the west side, facing the Mississippi River and practice fields, the team’s locker room will be completely renovated, and the training room and second-floor coaches’ meeting rooms will be expanded.
Renderings of the exterior of the additions show the new additions jutting out of the two sides of the building — the new weight room bulging out near the driveway, and the west side moving closer to the football practice fields.

For comparison's sake, here is a before and after of the LSU football operations facility:

Those before and after exterior shots look like they just added a few more windows. Yay?

No, much more than that. For example they are adding another weight room for sports other than football. The guys are kinda excited to be getting their weight room back

Is the stadium weight room gone?

The Advocate article was linked. I'll edit the OP to better illustrate.

Nope, it's used by other sports now. Volleyball and gymnastics IIRC.

Standing still is falling behind. Seems like that place was just built and now they're renovating. I wonder what's next...

I don't know how often the stadium weight room is used, but I know the guys MUCH prefer the set up at the op center. The op center is very cool...it's like a giant club house with all the toys. After a work out you can hit the whirlpool or ice bath.... Or if trainers are there you can get a therapeutic rub down. Smoothie bar and snacks always available....I couldn't imagine why anyone would opt to use stadium weight room, but I'm sure occasionally it is used
