Show your level of delusion - what did you expect in yr 1 for BK? Even Saban went 7-6!?!

All you Delu-Tigers expecting a double digit win season in year 1 for BK truly amaze me….after this team was put together with duck tape and the transfer portal. Even Saban went 7-6 in his 1st yr and had an embarrassing loss to ULM. Putting together a TEAM takes time. What did you expect?!?

I expect us not to go down 2+ scores early in every game and be competent on special teams.

I expect to be able to perform trivial activities on the football field. We look atrocious. Dropping punts/kickoffs, dropping passes, horrible QB vision, etc. is not acceptable

This is just a dumb way of looking at it.

Having said that I expected 7-8 wins.

Oh…you mean like the juggernaut #1 Bama who very nearly lost to a team that lost to App St at HOME? How are their special teams?!? Missed 2 FGs, 4-5 turnovers. Look around and see whats happening in CFB. Shite happens to everyone.

7 wins is acceptable — not 100% sure we make it there cap’n. Offense is as bad as it has ever been.

Too many on this board are delusional, expecting this LSU football team to simply step onto the field and win every game, simply because they are LSU! So much negativity and unrealistic expectations are, as you say, "truly amazing"! And to a certain extent, disgusting to read!

I was out of bounds with a stretch goal of 9-3.

Thought 7-5 was realistic.

Why?!? The point is that even the guy who many consider the GOAT struggled in year 1 …and that too without all the other factors that BK had to deal with.

I expected a well coached, disciplined football team that played hard and smart. So far the best thing that this team does is play hard.

I expected a well oiled machine executing on O and D without alignment or substitution problems.

Losing due to talent is OK if the team is executing with limited penalties.

I expect to loose games, but to look like a well coached team that makes other teams beat us and not us making stupid plays that put us in bad situations that ultimately make it impossible for us to come back. I also expect to see players like Harold Perkins play, clearly he is elite and should have been on the field. I also expect to see Nuss in the game if Daniel’s isn’t getting it done.

I give 3 years before making an assessment. The first year is commonly a struggle. We should see progression year to year

I figured we’d get @ 8 wins this year. I had fl state as a sure win. With that loss, I’m not sure we get there so that would be a disappointment.

Still though, Kelly has 3 years to show results

A well-coached, competitive, disciplined football team... that should be the bare minimum. Did you take any of that from yesterday's game?

I expected to not be offshore for so many games and to have my back porch TV set up correctly. Then my friends could come over and we could cook and drink whiskey, like real men. That's pretty much all I want from a college football season.

Even with the transfer portal?

I thought everyone agreed that the rebuilding of any program isn’t what it was 10-15 years ago and the transfer portal was a big reason for that.
