newman hasn't looked great, not start but he can come in for an inning or two.

Because it's a shitty idea?

You think rolling him out against Florida isn't risky?

Newman kind of backed in the closer roll out of necessity and has not looked really comfortable. I would rather see Bain start.

He hasn't been solid for a few weeks. Not ripping him at all, praying he's passed whatever was dogging him. He's looked a little shaky out there lately.

I can see him coming in as a reliever for an inning or two but not start.

Think I'd go to Bain before Peterson. I think Peterson will be very good but don't think he's quite ready yet.
Bring Newman in middle relief.... I think Poche' on Monday would have only 4 days rest.

I think I like Bain too. Just get through the order once and see where we stand.

I still have no clue who we start game 2.

Peterson is the only choice

I don't think he has started a game since his freshman year in 2013. Now is not the time to test him as a starter.

I agree. Ideal scenario; win game 1, have a considerable lead in the 7th of game 2 & relieve Poche w/ Lange to win us the Championship & break the LSU record for most career strikeouts!! Crazy, but it seems realistic if we win game 1 & have a good lead when Poche begins to fade.

I might be the only one thinking this, but I don't like Lange as a reliever. Most times it takes him awhile to get comfortable on the mound, something a reliever doesn't have the luxury of doing.

I get it if there are no better options, but he'll make me nervous out of the pen.
