It's always cool the first couple of times everyone does it but it gets worn out quick. We've started it at SFA bball games and it turned into a mini tradition then we did it at our high school and it was fun. It just loses its luster too fast.

Sure. But don't stop there. Stop off at the nearest convenience store and pick up a bunch of those bad arse glow sticks.

Can someone link a video? I have no idea what you're talking about. I watched the game but amongst a crowd so I obviously missed a few things. Watching the youtube of the entire game now, anybody know when it happened?

Don't know why but TV didn't show it although it lasted several minutes. Very cool scene.

I saw it, but I don't have it.

What the best app to get the light to blink?

I think so. Would be a cool new unique tradition.

But I'm guessing the same people that hate calling Baton Rouge, Louisiana saturday night, and I'm from Louisiana would hate that too.

My GF turned her flash light on. I'd like to see an app that could sync to a stadium server that flashes the light in sync to a pre kick off music piece for example.
This is all very feasible and not too expensive as we've seen Taylor Swift do it with wrist bands.
Cheesy? Sure but would be a free app and engaging to the fans.

would be pretty cool to do it when it's finally night time in death valley

"Ladies and gentlemen, the sun has found its home in the western sky. It's Saturday night in Death Valley!"

That would be awesome. Spread the word.

WWE fans do this for Bray Wyatt's entrance.. They call it his "fireflies". I thought it was the coolest, and probably kinda intimidating for visitors. Wonder how it got started, did someone post it online or did a few people start it and it spread to everyone.. Maybe started in the student section? Hope the tradition continues.

I would much rather that than the wave TBH. The wave is bad karma

I'd like to see the wave done with cell phone lights.
Everyone turn theirs on, but hold them down, or against your chest, and then turn it around as the wave gets to you, then cover it back up.

I'm thinking we get a bunch of strobing LED lights and then turn them on when the opposing team is about to kick a FG.

Yeah go look at when Etling threw the pass to the left sideline to our TE at the 5 yard line later in the game. Can't give you the exact time stamp. I know they showed the view from behind Etling and the crowd had it lit up in his face while trying to throw. Has to be somewhat distracting to do it while we have the ball. Glad he could block out 30,000 or so lights trying to move the ball.

It's probably not good to keep using a phone to do that but what do y'all say?

Well, you can't get service, so you might as well do something with it.

I totally agree. How is this not a distraction? Call me a crab or whatever, but I think this was dumb. If it wasn't for the wave, it would be the dumbest thing ever. I made it known to the people around me how dumb I thought it was. I got a 50/50 mixed reaction. What ever happened to going into Tiger Stadium to scream and holler for the Tigers for 60 minutes and WATCH THE GAME? If I want to play on my cell phone, play beach ball, or throw my hands up like a fool, I would stay home. If you don't want to actually go to Tiger Stadium to WATCH and CHEER on the Tigers, sell your ticket and stay home. There is someone out there wanting it to actually watch the football game. I am very passionate about LSU Football and I firmly believe you scream your head on defense and STAND if necessary and sit and relax when on offense. I hope there are still plenty people out there that believe this too. I'm done my rant.
