In a few years when they are having trouble filling seats they may put in more chair backs or premium seating, enhancing the comfort and reducing the overall capacity

Yes, they should, but, no, they won't. They just completed that upper SEZ expansion so they're not taking that down. And it sounds important to say you have more than 100,000 fans that could fill your stadium.
Frankly, Tiger Stadium was at its best with 78,000. And, to be honest, in bad times, it wasn't full during the Hallman years. But in good times, you'd have more people in the house because of the perception it's a tougher ticket to get. There's too much supply now and not enough demand.

No.
As a two loss team (one a beat down and one to a sunbelt team) we had a decent turnout. A lot bailed down 17-0 though
When we are good the place will be packed and 100k loud. You build a stadium like this expecting to be good, if you expect those bad losses / 1Q performances to be the norm then by all means reduce the capacity
Keep winning and everything will right itself, from atmosphere to recruiting.

You couldn't have really thought to your self "this would be a good thread to make"

I'm afraid that there is a world of hurt on the way for many of these big venues. I think we have seen this year that the tickets are no longer worth their face values (not including taf fees either). As that happens, season ticket holders will flee.
