this logic is much too simple for some of the people that post here.

I agree.

i wouldn't say its a fact that JL will beat out JJ, however it is a fact that some want him to transfer so there will be no competition... seen all of JL they want to see and all of JJ they need to see.

That's smart isnt it?

How does anybody know there will be an open competition for the QB job when spring rolls in or has Miles stated it would be..

Of course it will be open and it should be. JL has a great with his arm, but you never know who he will to.

please answer this question... why in God's name would there not be an open competition?

this is not a jr going against a red shirt fresh. its two guys that has less than 1 season of PT under their belts.

as a Diehard LSU football fan why would you NOT want that?

whoever the coaches think is the best should start. the team seams to have better chemistry with JJ so far.

Imagine being a LSU starter, getting on or off the field after another JL pik six. Are you going to try hard? The players will loose faith in Miles if JL starts, no matter how he does in spring.

Did I say I didn't want that..I just said how does anybody know..who is to say Miles doesn't say JJ your my guy and give him all of the first team snaps and go with it..I am just saying you are all so sure that it is going to be an open competition and I was just wondering why...

I think JJ has the edge right now, but spring will decide.

No - after watching JJ in the Peach/Chick-fil-a (still like the Peach better), he was very accurate, had great escapability and just looked like he wanted it so much more than Jarrett Lee who looked like he didn't give a shite after he'd throw a ton of INT's. Given that JJ had only a couple of starts and then was a STAR in the bowl, they'd be silly to play Jarrett Lee ahead of him.

Victor Howell's partner just said that sources have told him that Jarret Lee will transfer to SFA and Andrew Hatch may go to Northwestern State to follow Peveto.

Talk about losing quality depth fast.
