If I remember correctly we were handing off instead of taking knee. They get ball back down 8 and hope to score wit 2 pt. conversion. What about it?

Maybe, but then LSU should have been smart enough to lay down at the 1.

If we kneel there still time left we would have had to punt.

Auburn would have beat FSU for the title a few years ago if the RB had done just this. Instead, they gave Jameis a full minute.

LSU could have ended the game with a two point conversion. Not sure they would've gone for it, but up by 7 already, I think it's worth the risk to try to go up by 9.

We could have just fallen on the ground after the first down and taken knees after that. Florida had no timeouts and we had to run real plays that would take time for the ball and playclock to be reset. We ended up timing it perfectly. But Florida would have had a better shot at trying to force a turnover in that situation then letting us score.

Nah, the safer, and imo smarter, play would have been to kick the extra point and force Florida to convert a 2 point conversion. Percentages are much more favorable doing that.

They should have tried to strip the ball but not tackle the rb.

I may not like the O hire, but Miles likely finds a way to frick this up.

Yes, and I said this while listening to the game

I think Georgia Tech did this to UGA 4-5 years ago. They all fell down and the UGA player scored, giving them a shot

how awesome would it have been if the LBs let the RB run through full speed and he blazes down the field only to stop with no one around him and stand there, on the 1, as the clock ticks down.

what's to stop the ball carrier from just slow walking into the end zone and burning up the clock, AND scoring as well?

SEC refs would have called unsportsmanlike conduct and then reviewed the play to say we fumbled out of the endzone. Touchback + 15 yd

I thought of that too. I was praying we wouldn't fall for that. It was there only chance outside of a fumble.
