Should college football reinstate the “one-season sit” rule for transfers?

Seems like this shite is getting out of hand. Maybe the realization of sitting a year out will make these kids more loyal.

No, that is not fair. Remember they only get one transfer, that is it, one.

Everyone is overreacting because this is the first cycle we are seeing it at this level. They only get a one time transfer without having to sit out. Transferring is still a huge decision for the player and the overwhelming majority of players will never transfer at all. Obviously QBs will be the biggest group and I can't fault any of them at all.

You bet they should. The game is being ruined and rosters are getting gutted because of transfer portal. The BS has to stop before people start losing interest in college football.

They can. It’s called signing day. College isn’t the pros and free agency shouldn’t be a thing.

We are teaching kids that commitment means nothing and quitting is an option when it don't get your way. Instead of teaching them to stay and work harder to get 5hat position, I'll just go where it's easier.

I’d have the old rules with one exception and that is head coach change. If a head coach change you can transfer without sitting out.

Accepting NIL payments should require a kid to stay for 3 years.

They already have that choice. No one forces them to sign with a school

SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN

(but its OK if a coach leaves a multi-million dollar job for another multi-million dollar job whenever he pleases)

Scholarships are on a year to year basis. Schools and coaches don't make a 4-year commitment to players, so why should players have to make that commitment to the school?

Perfect response. But the hyperbole will continue.
