Yes. In this case, does he deserve it? Probably. Will he get it? Probably not.

Chris Jackson left early and decided to tell the team in the locker room immediately before a sweet 16 game Which we had an 18 point lead and lost. Nope no Chris Jackson Jersey on the rafters.

I don’t like his anthem stunt but what did it for me were his comments after 9/11. He is the best LSU Basketball player I ever saw ( never saw Pete play) and he is dead to me. Something’s are more important than my love for LSU and one of them is my country.

No....two years should not qualify. He was a great player though, best scorer since Pistol Pete in SEC.

Wade is a great young coach, but this is pretty funny. Do you even know who those other coaches are? I think Wooden won 10 Natty's...in 11 years.

We weren't in the sweet 16 Jackson's second year, we lost in the second round. Jackson was very sick that day, but still played.

I like the rule that you have to graduate. He can be honored in other ways like having a plaque or photo in the lobby of the PMAC, but they should continue to have to graduate before having a jersey hung or retired. IMO.

Billy Cannon wasn't exactly a Saint while and after LSU.

He was more of an Oiler, Raider or a Cheif. Not a Saint at all.

Does that include coach? Because Wooden >> Smith >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dale

Wooden had a bigger slush fund for recruiting purposes.

Chris is an interesting case study for hanging the jersey. I don't care about after LSU; and he didn't commit any crimes. Billy Cannon was a convicted felon.

Biggest issue seems to be that he left after 2 years. But on the other hand:

he was here multiple seasons, and he was First Team All American and SEC Player of the Year, his entire college career. That's impressive.

Here are the requirements:
LINK

Story on Maravich is that the Hall of Fame committee didn't want to hang a jersey or name the assembly center after him. The governor had to intervene and say make it happen or else. They had an emergency hall of fame vote and voted it through. Same with the Maravich Statue that will eventually go up, I believe Jindal had to request they vote on putting up a statue. The committee had to have a special vote on it.
