I was reading Coach Miles' press conference transcript and it referenced Shepard's fumble against Georgia. Perhaps I was really, really drunk, but when during the game was this fumble?

It wasn't. Myles is using it as an excuse for why he hasn't played RS more.

It wasn't a fumble. Actually, it was a terrible call. Georgia reviewed it to see if they got it, but the review should have been if it was even a fumble. Instead, LSU kept the ball but lost 4 yards on the supposed fumble. It would have been 2nd and short on the drive that LSU ended up not getting the 4th down converstion.

2nd quarter. The ball came loose and LSU lost a couple yards on it.

Yes, the ground did cause the ball come loose. But the call on the field was a fumble and it was not reviewed (and subsequently reversed).

he fumbled out of bounds and just was out of bounds- he fumbled the first catch he ever made - he does not know how to go down and has fumbled twice at least-- it does effect his play and it should- yes he should be playing more and he will- but protecting the ball is the reason jefferson plays and the only reason we have the record we have now

another issue that is hurting RS--- how many times do you see SEC type players picked up and flipped in the air- has happened to him twice in the limited runs-- he is light in weight and runs with a style that can lead to severe problems in protecting the ball---but again he must play to beat the teams we have ahead of us-- ky just ran wildcat and beat auburn at the end and bama ran wildcat to be S car at the end as well
