Just saw this from the tweet, didn't get to listen to the interview.

I've heard everything from grades to weed with him on this site. What's his big hurdle for him playing?

Getting his academic problems fixed.

A little intersession here, a little summer session there, and he can get back on track.

Will it cost another scholarship since he is actually in the portal and left?

From an eligibility standpoint, his grades are the problem right now, but there might/might not also be a issue with weed related suspension as well.

First things first, he clearly needs to be working hard on his coursework to get his GPA back up. That much is obvious from UF admission denying him.

Body hurts, doesn’t want to block, weed, grades, homesick....

If he comes back of course I’ll support him, but for fricks sake just say what the hell is going on..

No he never left, he committed to UF but never enrolled there. So it costs us nothing for him to come back against the 25. Technically we never took away his scholarship here against the 85 either.

you have no idea what really happened.

He's back if they can get him cleared and the NCAA doesn't ruin it, which is highly likely

If we take him back I hope it’s soon. Get him going through spring and summer.

Brody Miller of The Athletic said on his Pod with T-Bob that a big chunk of the freshmen class struggled with depression this year. Mainly due to things being shut down and not being able to get out and about. Arik was most likely part of that.

I had also read (on here) that his GPA was very low. I wonder if he was even participating in academics when he opted out and what the NCAA rules are going to be around that due to COVID for all opt outs.

It's really no question his GPA is low. UF admissions office denied enrolling him which means it's likely below a 2.0

considering he quit with 2 games left and the first weed suspension should only be a game he should be good there.

Alonzo Spellman and Charles Haley had pretty solid careers despite being bipolar. It finally caught up with Spellman though.

He had an acute psychiatric episode resulting from bipolar disorder that required an inpatient stay. His mom came to Baton Rouge and brought him home as any good mother would do. Pre-existing mental disorders often materialize or worsen in the 18-22 year old age group. I'm sure the lockdowns didn't help. By all accounts I've heard, he is doing well and getting treatment and should be fine (think Brandon Marshall).

Ed Orgeron put his foot in his mouth in the media about it by saying his body was hurting and all the of fans and pundits attacked him. The pundits all later backtracked due to finding out the truth, but our fans are fricking stupid and continue to call this 6'5" 250 lb monster a "pussy" like he wouldn't break them in half like a stale church wafer. He tried to leave after that, for which I do not blame him.

Additionally, he let his grades collapse during all of this which is the eligibility concern.

If his teammates and coaches welcome him back, then come on back big boy and help the team win some football games.

This is precisely what they are trying to figure out. They may try and get him in summer classes to boost the GPA. He will "pay his own way" and then earn back a schollie in fall

It’s sounds like he has the brain of a bipolar woman.
