The bottom line:

Just like all great programs, a lot of gutless bandwagon fans have latched on to the LSU Tigers. The same fans who, if they were even out of diapers then, are clueless about the struggles of the 1980 and especially early 1990 seasons.

These are the same fans now, like spoiled entitled children, crying doom and gloom about every tough time the Tigers go through.

Grow a set of balls, weak Tiger fans.

SURE, be pissed, disappointed, complain, but know where the line is drawn between dedication and cowardice. Stop doing such gutless things as calling for Miles' firing and "predicting" recruits leaving in droves, losing seasons, declines, and other idiotic things I've read but don't have the tolerance to repeat.

Great programs are not built on weak fans.

For the real Tiger fans, the Tigers will continue to grow and evolve and finish this season strong and be primed and experienced for next year, BECAUSE of the struggles of this year.

With success come the brainless masses. It is inevitable.

I think stupidity is in right now. It's cyclical.

Wow, I was just thinking about how the "real Tiger fan" jerkoffs are a lot like military-hard ons. Thanks for proving my point.

Sorry man, but critcizing the team and the SERIOUS coaching deficiencies isn't being a "bandwagon fan." I've been following this team all my life, so don't presume to define FOR ME what it means to be a "real fan."

I was in diapers in the early 1980s, and did not start paying real attention to LSU football until late 90s... that's really no excuse for being a bad fan.

There are no "SERIOUS coaching deficiencies" when you have a Coach who is 41-9.

Let's be honest. A certain percentage of the general population are going to be pretty pathetic human beings. The same goes with the general population of tiger fans. Many want to high-five and talk shite when we're dominating, but fold up the tents and quit when we're not. Just let them know where they stand.

No shite!

And I'll repost for the slow learners among us:

How about the steady decline in defense and fundamental play since the Miles era began (had to put that one, because it's important in the grand scheme of things)? The playcalling in the first half was awful and led to stagnant play. The choice of putting JJ in on 4th down succeeded, despite its total idiocy. (a recurring theme in the Miles era, and his saving grace - because talent saves him despite bad choices). The playcalling after the turnover when LSU was 7 points down was moronic. Personnel choices.

And none of this really changed during the comeback. LSU's physical talent beat up on an out-of-gas team with lesser athleticism. It was obvious. And that, as I said, is what has saved Les time and again, but his biggest fault - sloppy overall play - is what will eventually do us in.

I hate to say it, but big programs are built on pleasing the masses. Look at USC and ND. Bandwagon fans create recruiting and interest from the big networks. let the bandwagoon fans jump on and off, but as long as LSU is of interest across the nation, I am happy. I don't leave early and don't ever get inappropriately negative about the tigers. Just swallow your tiger pride when you see douche bags jumping ship because of rought waters. My old coach used to say "don't tell me how rough the water is, just bring the ship home!" I think it is very appropriate for this season post-NC and rebuilding!!!

Thats what we call a contradiction. Here is the thing about coaching; when you call something and it works, you're a good coach. when you call something and it doesn't work, you need to be fired. No coach make the right call during the course of a game/season/career. Also, there is another coaching staff making calls against what you are doing. All things said; it is not expected to be perfect as a coach. Look at the body of work, not friggin offensive series you didn't agree with.

PS this isn't Madden, it's college football.

Average Points allowed per season under Saban:
226.8

Average Points allowed per season under Miles (through 2007 season):
209.3

I'm glad you're not this much of a dumbass on the Poli Board.

I didn't know you were a cocksucker. Duly noted.

I knew you'd enjoy that. I do kind of regret it, but I'm tired of being called a "bandwagon fan" when I've been a fan for ALL of my 37 years and have seen this shite before.

And his record is talent, and talent alone. He hasn't flopped as quickly as Archer did because he's still able to recruit good athletes. It's just clear that said athletes aren't being coached very well. They're (as I said) sloppy and, well, you've seen the defense, right?

So anyway, if getting the cold shoulder is what I get in exchage for being sick of single-minded judgement, I guess I'll take it. Like I said, I've seen this before.
