SECT is the only realistic path to the NCAAT, so LSU should focus solely on that

and don't worry about what happens in the last three regular season games. If we can help our chances of winning the SECT by resting players or trying something new or whatever, we should do it even if it means losing all of the remaining regular season games. It's a bad position to be in, but it's where we are, like it or not.

Losing the remainder of the games would not be good going into the SECT. Winning out and building momentum going into the SECT would be ideal. Players get enough rest.

I don't see us winning out though.

Sounds like a solid plan. With a high probability of success ......

Don't listen to the other negative posters, Nuts. This is probably the best post I've read in weeks.

Logically, you are on point. Hornsby should play in Nashville on a broken leg if he has to.

LSU hasn't won the SECT in about 37 yrs, what makes you think this team can do it..

Winning the remaining games and getting a double bye is our only prayer.

You honestly think this team can win 4 games in 4 days?

I don't expect them to do it, but the probability is not zero. The probability of any other path to the NCAAT is zero, so while this is bad, it's all we've got.

Specifically with regard to this team, though, yes, I think this team has some chance of winning the SECT. There's no prohibitive favorite this year like some years. We've already beaten two of the strongest contenders based on the standings, so at least the possibility is there.

Gotta get a double-bye.

Finishing 2-1 would probably do that.

1) Texas A&M
2) Kentucky
3) South Carolina
4) LSU

5) Vanderbilt
6) Ole Miss
7) Alabama
8) Florida

We'd need upsets from the 5-8 seeds, which is very possible.
