SEC Tournament is now Single Elimination

1) Yes....LSU is unbeaten
2) Yes....they will be playing Florida who has 1 loss
3) Yes....an LSU loss sends them home
This is just a heads up to all the goofballs who will freak out if the Tigers HAPPEN to lose on Saturday.

Really? I was unaware the rules changed like that when its narrowed down. Hope they have all burned up there pitching trying to stay in it.

I really hate that so many teams make the tournament. Why not cut it down to 8?
The teams that had good seasons get rewarded, if you finished 9th or worse in the conference, sorry and better luck next year.

The format helps teams like Alabama and Mizzou strengthen their resume with the hope of getting in the NCAA tourney....which means more $$$ for the conference.

It gets cut down to 8 after the first day. And generally speaking the Top 8 teams will make the NCAAT so it wouldn't make much sense to have it with only 8 teams, so therefore 12 make it to give the 9-12 place teams a chance to punch their ticket.

Because then teams like Tennessee can say we made back to back SEC tourneys instead of saying..
We have made 2 SEC tourneys this century.

This is my favorite part of the tourney. Especially considering that whomever LSU faces Saturday will be dragging the bottom in terms of who they can start.
LSU has their top two guys AND a couple of midweek guys who are good to go. Fresh arms, boys. Lots and lots of fresh arms.
