SEC Record...

Interesting thought...
Should LSU go 14-0, then not only will the SEC will be on a unique 52 game streak...
2008
Following the Ole Miss loss, Florida won 10 consecutive.
2009
Alabama 14-0
2010
Auburn 14-0
2011
LSU 14-0 (presumably)
That would be 52 straight wins for the SEC champion.
Should LSU go 14-0, then not only will the SEC will be on a unique 52 game streak...
2008

"Streaks", by definition, are consecutive events.
I didn't go back to 2007 b/c Florida lost to Ole Miss in 2008.
Since there's never been a case where a conference has won 5 straight championships, I doubt there's been a case where a conference put together a string like this, either.
In the past, teams like USC or Nebraska have dominated their conference so thoroughly the streaks of the dominant team were broken by a different conference.
Somehow, the SEC has hit on the key to maintaining dominance - it's hard to put a finger on it, but 5 championships with 4 different teams is pretty damn awesome.
