It is perfectly reasonable for SEC fans to be suspicious of the mysterious review guy in Birmingham, who overrules the field judges, making sure that calls go in favor of Alabama or otherwise retaliating against coaches for disagreeing with his poor decisions. If this unaccountable figure was based in Jackson, then we would not have to worry that his bias toward the home team was affecting the outcome of the conference in general.

As someone who lives in MS, Jackson is a shitehole. They should move to Nashville. If anyone needs bias, its Vandy.

I could see that, then Texas will be allowed to murder QB's with no targeting calls.

Nashville.

Centrally located regionally. The only SEC team there is Vanderbilt and they don't give a shite outside of baseball. The people that live there are from all different fanbases.

Easy airport, easy to attract talented people to work at the SEC office, etc.

Except for when a call goes against LSU when we are playing Ole Miss, then you’ll claim bias again.

Move it to Charlotte.

A state with no SEC teams but still reasonably close to the footprint of the conference

Destin

They already hold the Winter meetings there.

ETA: And it's equidistant to several SEC schools: LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, MSU, etc..

Move it to Denver, CO. Build a new building not too far from DEN in the far-out burbs. Only hire fball refs from states north and west of Texas.

That hit on Bryce Young was almost exactly like the Murphy non-targeting call on Jayden this year. Based solely on the NCAA Football Rules, both calls were deemed to be correct calls, as affirmed by the Steve Shaw, the National NCAA Coordinator of Officials. We can disagree whether the rule should be re-written, but he has to apply the rule as written currently.

There is no way in hell any official can read the targeting rule as it stands and describe in the video of Turner’s hit on Daniels and conclude it was not targeting.

There is no agree to disagree stuff here. I have read the rule and watched the video 20 times or more and it cannot pass the negative test for all elements which is required to not be targeting.
